LAND IDENTIFIED: PR1MA to meet growing demand of middle-income group
SOME 8,000 affordable homes will be built here under the 1Malaysia People’s Housing Scheme (PR1MA) to cater to the high demand from the middle-income group here.
Its chief executive officer, Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias, said it was assessing the suitability of certain federal and state land here that had been identified for the purpose.
“The land that has been identified is located in Larkin, Tampoi, Kulaijaya, Plentong and Pasir Gudang,” he said, adding that if the land was not suitable, PR1MA would find other land which included those owned by private developers.
He said PR1MA would consult the private developers to see if they could incorporate affordable homes in their housing projects.
