If you’re a professional with an insatiable appetite for exciting challenges, Malaysia is the place to be for you and your family. We are liberalising, we’re transforming and we want you here.
Famously described as Truly Asia, Malaysia today has matured into more than a melting pot of cultures, religions and cuisines.
Fifty-four years since Malaya gained Independence, and 48 years since the formation of Malaysia, public opinion is making stronger impact on social change with increasing space for open dialogue. Civil society movements exist vibrantly alongside Government and Economic Transformation Programs bringing positive changes that would take Malaysia to greater heights.
In trying to feed the aspirations of an increasingly progressive generation, strategic and intensified efforts are being made to propel the country into a High Income Nation by 2020.
The Performance Management Delivery Unit (PEMANDU) was set up in 2009 with a mandate to stimulate bold changes in public and private sector delivery. A special unit within the Prime Minister’s Department, PEMANDU regularly seeks independent views from various stakeholders to ensure progress in these sectors.
In sealing its commitment to achieve this, the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) was launched with specific targets to improve the Government’s processes, delivery and accountability.
Following that, the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) was introduced to create a more competitive and resilient business environment that would attract greater Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) into the country.
As part of the ETP, several National Key Economic Areas (NKEA) have been identified to steer the highest possible income for the country over the next 10 years. There are now 131 Entry Point Projects (EPPs) and 60 Business Opportunities (BOs) that would result in significant changes in the economy.
With these developments, there is positive growth for more medium-to-high paying jobs to put Malaysia at par with other full-fledged high-income economies.
Come and be part of the change.
